![]() Is the Omron HJ-112 Pedometer any good? The Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer is hugely popular at the moment, it is the top selling pedometer on Amazon.com with a staggering 2,562 reviews at the moment! What is so good about this pedometer? So how many steps have you done today? Come on, we all know about the '10,000 steps' rule now, you should be walking around 10,000 steps a day to keep yourself healthy, but most of us get far far fewer than that. Using a pedometer helps you keep track of how many steps you take on an average day so you can first of all figure out how far away from that target you are, and then start to make changes so you get in the full 10,000. Yet most pedometers are junk, they have a little slider in them that tries to move about as you walk so you need to have it clipped to your belt, and placed on your hip, if you want to stand a chance of it measuring anything (like my last two!). The Omron HJ-112 though has two powerful sensors, so not only do you not need to have it on your hip just to get a reading (making you look like an exercise geek at work!) but you can even have it in a pocket or in your purse and it will still keep track of your steps! Also it is high quality, it looks good, the screen is easy to read, it resets itself for you every midnight so you are set to go for the next day, and it stores the data for the last 7 days so you can check up how much you have done during the week and decide if you should get some extra steps in at the weekend, and it can measure how far you've walked and how many calories you've burnt! >> Click here to check out the Omron HJ-112 Pedometer on Amazon.com
What do people think about it? I told you earlier that it has 2,562 reviews on Amazon.com (at the time of writing) which is a LOT of reviews, in fact I think it is the most I have ever seen on any item on the site, yet 93% of people gave it 4 or 5 stars which means they absolutely love it (that's 2,380 people!). Some people complain that it is too sensitive or that the screw on the back is really really small when you need to change the battery (if you have glasses you probably have jewellers screwdrivers anyway which will fit) but thousands of people love it and only a hundred or so people have problems with it… so I think it is safe to say the Omron HJ-112 is a great pedometer for your money. >> Click here to check out the reviews for the Omron HJ-112 Pedometer on Amazon.com
